Our Story

Since 2020, GSCF is a member of Peridot Group, created in 2019 as a Blackstone portfolio company. The group includes sister company Peridot Financing Solutions.

Meet The Management Team
Eric Balmer
CEO
Eric is an established leader in the trade finance space, with longstanding expertise in financing solutions. Before joining GSCF in 2022, Eric spent 25 years at Credit Suisse AG in various leadership roles across Switzerland and the United States. Among other responsibilities, he has been a board member of FIDES Treasury Services AG and, most recently, Managing Director and Member of the Management Committee of Corporate & Investment Banking at Credit Suisse AG. Eric holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Lausanne and a PhD in banking law from the University of Fribourg.
Duygu Gazik
Head of Human Capital Management
Duygu is an experienced human resources (HR) manager with many years of experience in the financial services industry. She has worked at GSCF in Switzerland since 2001, taking on a variety of roles across the company. Prior to making the shift to HR, she spent eight years in the Credit Operations department, becoming Senior Programme Manager in 2008. She then moved into HR & Accounting in 2012 and was promoted to Head of Human Capital Management in 2017. Duygu holds a Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich (HWZ).
Ximena San Julián
Head of Credit Operations
Ximena is a versatile and experienced operations specialist and project manager with an academic background in economics and marketing. Having worked for GSCF in both Uruguay and Switzerland over more than a decade, she brings more than 15 years of experience in financial services operations, back and middle office and management consulting. In particular, she specialises in fintech and trade finance, having structured, onboarded and managed multi-billion-dollar projects with the world’s leading banks. Ximena also holds certifications including Scrum Master, PMP and Product Owner.
Julien Laffaille
Origination and Structuring Lead
Julien, a graduate of the ESCP business school in Paris, joined GSCF in 2017 and has led the team of financial analysts in Uruguay since 2022. He has built up two decades of experience in the banking industry, including 12 years as Securitisation Structurer at BNP Paribas. His role at GSCF is to generate leads and manage relationships with bank and non-bank funders, understand funder requirements, and recommend programme structures and funding options.
Magdalena Cristiani
Programmes Structuring Lead
Magdalena is a certified public accountant and operations expert with a wealth of experience in financial services, as well as in external auditing. She joined GSCF in 2012, taking on various responsibilities in the Operations team before relocating to Switzerland in 2017 to join the Programmes Structuring department. There, she supported clients with the onboarding, structuring and implementation of new supply chain financing programmes. She was promoted to Programmes Structuring Lead in 2021. Magdalena gained her accountancy qualification at the Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Rose Mony Chirayath
Chief Product Officer
Rose Mony is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in Supply Chain Finance. Throughout her career in several roles since joining GSCF In 2003, Rose has played a pivotal role in the development and delivery of SCF products and services at GSCF. She started her current role in 2023, with her previous positions at the company including Head of Operations, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Bangalore University.
